Delete your Yearly account

You can delete your account yourself in the app. It takes a few seconds.

In the app

  1. Open Yearly and go to the Profile tab.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
  3. Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away and you're signed out.

Without the app

Email info@yearly.day with the subject “Delete my account” and the phone number you signed up with. We may ask you to confirm it's your number, then delete the account within 7 days and email you when it's done.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile: name, phone number, birthday, photo and email
  • Your list of contact matches
  • Your chats, messages, photos and reactions
  • Your notifications, reminder settings and push tokens

Your friends stop seeing your birthday right away. Copies may remain in encrypted backups for a short time before they're overwritten. Deleting your account can't be undone, but you're always welcome to sign up again.
