Birthday reminder app
The birthday reminder app your friends fill in for you
Most birthday reminder apps start with a blank calendar and a lot of typing. Yearly starts with your friends.
The problem with most birthday reminders
Calendar reminders and classic birthday apps only know the dates you give them. That means asking people, copying dates from social media, and hoping you typed them correctly. New friends never make it in, and one wrong date means a missed birthday or an awkward wish on the wrong day.
How Yearly is different
- Friends add their own birthday. When someone joins Yearly they enter their birthday once. Everyone who has their number sees it, so the date is always right.
- It finds your friends for you. Yearly checks your contacts (phone numbers only) and shows the birthdays of the people already on Yearly. New friends appear as they join.
- Reminders that fit you. Get a heads-up anywhere from a day to two weeks before, then a reminder on the morning of the birthday in your own time zone.
- Wishing is one tap. Open WhatsApp with a wish ready to send, or send it in Yearly, where it arrives as a birthday card and starts a chat.
Yearly vs a calendar reminder
| Calendar reminder | Yearly | |
|---|---|---|
| Who enters the date | You, for every person | Each friend, once |
| New friends | Only if you remember to add them | Appear when they join |
| Sending a wish | Switch apps and type it out | One tap, on WhatsApp or in Yearly |
| Age they're turning | Not shown | Shown |
Private by design
Only phone numbers are checked, numbers that aren't on Yearly are discarded, and anyone can hide their birthday at any time. Read the privacy policy for the details.
